Conde Nast published an article this year about the best luxury hotels Ibiza. The El Somni Ibiza Dream Hotel isn’t on it. Excuse me? A big mistake if you ask me. This hotel deserves way more attention that it’s currently getting online and in this blog post I’m telling you all about my experience. I stayed here from October 3rd – October 6th last year. Let’s discuss everything about the El Somni Ibiza Dream Hotel.
It was like arriving in paradise. I’m not even joking you guys. The moment the car stopped in front of the hotel doors.. You can just see right through it all the way to the Mediterranean Sea. As the driver got out of the car, the doorman speeded over to help with our luggage. I felt like I was in a movie when walking in. I was so mesmerized at first that I didn’t even notice that the reception was all ready to welcome us.
We didn’t do the check in at the reception. They asked us what we wanted to drink, gave us the form to fill out and we got to pick a place in the lobby to fill it out and drink our drinks. There’s no better way to check into a hotel. Of course I had a glass of Cava, what could be more fitting than that in Ibiza?
After filling out the forms, our rooms weren’t ready yet. We were super early. I believe we arrived around 9:00 AM. But we got a roomkey where we could change into something else. So I changed into my first Ibiza outfit: my gorgeous purple Bash dress and we went for a short walk to explore the area. After that we came back to enjoy our terrace view with a delicious cup of Cappuccino (we needed that, because we were up since 2:00 am) and a pineapple juice, which was delicious by the way!
And what a vibe it was! It was bright, it was blue and it was a place I actually never wanted to leave again. They had hammocks, they had cloud shaped lamps that changed colors. Like what? I want that!

Yes, I was NOT kidding!
The swimming pool is the ultimate relaxing space. They have normal beds, but also a cabana which is the best. You can overlook the swimming pool as well as the sea. I mean, can it get any better? The only thing I thought was a shame, was that you couldn’t order a drink before 11:00 am, because of the breakfast. Other than that it was the most relaxing space. Then we have the terrace, which overlooks the sea and I’m telling you. You can’t get sick of that view. I don’t know how other luxury Ibiza hotels have their views, but I couldn’t wish for more with these views I had here. I believe I have hundreds of video of the same view. But I believe that that’s your mind saying that you need to capture this the best way possible, but you actually just don’t want to say goodbye to that.

Next to the outdoor swimming pool, they also have an indoor spa. The spa contains a inside swimming pool, a sauna and a relaxing space. Of course I didn’t waste my time inside when the weather outside was that gorgeous, but just that you know that it’s also available. It’s open from 10:00 am.
The ladies and gentlemen behind the reception were super helpful. Those of you that have been following me for a while, know that I always have my itinerary. I decide what I want to do on what hour of what day weeks, if not months, before I even pack my suitcases.
They were there to explain me how to get to the places where I wanted to go, they always were right there to order me a taxi if I needed one. And I actually never heard a “no”, which was pretty awesome. Because a no would’ve messed up my whole itinerary. They were always super helpful and kind.
For those of you who want to be in the middle of the action and the parties, this location is not the right one for you. But for me it truly was the ideal location. The only thing I heard at night were the waves, we could wake up super relaxed and within the hour we were in Ibiza town or literally anywhere else on the island. If you’re looking for a location that has the peace, this truly is where you want to be. I also recorded videos (of course), but also recorded the sounds of the waves that I heard every morning on my podcast. I brought my laptop and my podcast microphone with me because of a photoshoot, so how could I not?
So I can tell you out of experience that they are quite good in surprises. My arrival date was also my birthday and my mother and sister arranged with the hotel that I got a bottle of Cava and a delicious cake accompanied with some really awkward singing, haha. I didn’t have a clue and that cake was to die for! Omg, how delicious it was.
Hotel rooms with a view are a thing for me, but this view was something else. Wow! Each morning I sat on my balcony with a cup of coffee watching the sunrise and it took my breath away. But not just during the sunrise, but also during the day when the sun was shining and the sea was as blue as you can ever imagine.

El Somni Ibiza Dream Hotel is part of the Grupotel Hotel Group. You can book a room through their website. My advice is to book it with breakfast, because if you want to have breakfast while you’re there, it costs €40 euros per person per day.
I was completely mesmerized and in love the whole time I was there. Even walking in the lobby was just a joy of itself with the views you had. For my trip I arrived on Thursday and left on Sunday. It was way too short. If this is your first time visiting Ibiza, I would recommend to go for at least a whole week. I know I will next time. Because yes, there will definitely be a last time. I came back home fully relaxed. If I would have to rate El Somni Ibiza Dream Hotel I would give them a 9.5.
I would recommend to visit Ibiza around the end of September to early October OR around the end of april to mid May. We had amazing weather. It wasn’t too warm, but just the right temperature. We could lay by the pool in our bathing suits! It was about 26 degrees overall when we were there from October 3rd to October 6th. If you go in July and August, it’s super warm and filled with tourists and young party people. That was something that we hardly saw, because of the time we went.
We’ll be back soon!

What an impressive city! I already was excited to go because of the connection it has with the story of Sissi, but I wouldn’t imagine that it would be this incredible. Within a day I already knew that I would definitely go back to Vienna to stay longer. For now, let me take you through […]
