Just as many others, I was super skeptical about Ibiza. I mean, Ibiza is just partying, loud music, alcohol and drugs, right? Wrong! And omg I was SO wrong! Ibiza has so many gorgeous places and beautiful nature spots. Way more than all the partying. If you just avoid that party spot, you’re in for a beautiful and relaxing vacay on this beautiful island. Happy reading!
I’m not spending too much time talking about our hotel, because I’ve written a pretty extensive review here. But this hotel was the start of our trip in Ibiza, so I can’t not mention it. And if you have read the review, you already know that it was gorgeous. It was one of the first moments we really saw Ibiza for how gorgeous it is.
We stayed 3 nights in this hotel and arrived on Thursday (very early) in the morning. We arrived around 9:00 and they were already there to give us a very warm welcome. We spent a lot of time outside of the hotel, because we had a pretty tight itinerary since we were only there for 3,5 days, but the time we did spend inside the hotel was amazing. When you were drinking your coffee on the terrace early in the morning, you have some moments of realization. Why would one ever want to stay in a budget hotel if you can have this? Why would one ever want to live without all the luxury? Call me crazy, but luxury in your life makes it so much more amazing.
If you want to read more, and see more photos, of this gorgeous hotel, just go ahead and read my blog post about it. Because we’re continuing with our amazing Ibiza itinerary!

If you want to go for 3-4 days, you have to make sure that you arrive early. Our plane left at 5:30. When I say early, I mean early. After checking in, I always like to explore the surroundings first. The hotel was located at a small beach and On The Beach was really close, where we had our reservation for lunch.
On The Beach was well-known for their cocktails and their vibe. And I have to be honest.. The vibe was so so cute! Exactly what you would expect from a place with a name like that. There were colorful flowers and surfboards everywhere. I loved it! We also had a view over the beach and sea. And as you may know, I’m big for views. The cocktails indeed were delicious! And they looked so fun! But I have to say.. The food was a little disappointing. It didn’t taste really fresh. So I would recommend definitely going, because of the vibe and the cocktails, but skip the food.
After our lunch at On The Beach we were supposed to go to Es Calo de S’Illa, which is a very cute bay. But because it was my birthday, my mom and sister had a surprise planned for me at the hotel, which meant we didn’t get to see the bay. But I was eating cake and drinking Champagne at the hotel instead, haha. Also not a punishment, but unfortunately I didn’t get to see Es Calo de S’Illa. So if you go, please let me know how it was!
After spending the rest of the afternoon at the hotel lounge and terrace and enjoying the amazing view from my room, it was time to take a shower and change for dinner! We had a reservation at Amante Ibiza, and omg you guys.. The views! They were breathtaking. I do think it’s so funny though how, during the day, the views can be so gorgeous and breathtaking, and at night, it’s just black. Like you’re looking into an empty black void. But the views are incredible when it’s still light outside, haha.
The food was also so incredible. I had the langoustine as an appetizer and it was truly divine! So tender and so soft, but yet so tasty! As a main course we had the squid risotto, which was also delicious, but it was a LOT. So I couldn’t eat the whole thing. However, the dessert was slightly disappointing. We ordered chocolate mousse with raspberries, but we got it the other way around, haha. So mousse of raspberries and pieces of chocolate. The mousse was really sour. But the rest, it was truly amazing!
After dinner we went back to the hotel, because we had to get up quite early for our next day!

We wanted to go to Formentera, which is a small island near Ibiza. There’s a boat leaving every hour I believe from Ibiza Old Town. If you go to the port and aboard the boat, you can buy tickets inside. The boat takes about 30 minutes. It also has a terrace, but if you want to have a good seat, you have to be in time, because you’re definitely not the only one. After 30 minutes you arrive in Formentera and it’s a charm. Gorgeous! It has a lot of cute shops and cafes. But the place where we had lunch was extraordinary!

You can’t miss having lunch at Es Calo. THAT VIEW! OMG! And I’m not exaggerating. It is gorgeous. Right by the incredible blue sea. Wow. The food was great. The wine was amazing. The service was incredible. We had a bottle of Sancerre. Delicious! The Sea Bream we ordered as our main course was being prepared at our table. That always gives a little extra. I love that. Make sure to keep an eye out on my Instagram, because I will share a reel about Es Calo, if I haven’t already by now.
After lunch at Es Calo we had to race back to the port, because we had to catch the boat back to Ibiza Old Town, where I had an appointment.

Because I booked a Flytographer photoshoot! My mom has been asking for new photos from me and my sister and I know going to Ibiza with just the three of us also meant a lot to her, so I thought it would be an amazing surprise to do a photoshoot in Ibiza!
For about 30 minutes we walked around Ibiza Old Town followed by a photographer and her camera, haha. The photos turned out great! And yes, I’m definitely planning to do this more often!
After the photoshoot we took a troll through Ibiza Old Town. How cute is this place! It was such a shame that we only had this short amount of time. Around 17:00 we were done with the photoshoot and at 19:00 we had our dinner reservation at Ohana. If you do have more time, then I suggest you spend a full day in Ibiza Old Town, because it has just so many cute places to see. And of course I had to drink at least one Margarita since we were in Spain.

We arrived at Ohana by the time of the sunset. It was truly gorgeous. But it was an all open space, so actually one big terrace. And since it was already October 4th, it was getting quite chilly in the evening. The cocktails were tasting really good and we had so much sushi! This was a typical situation where my eyes were bigger than my stomach. Because we ordered a plate with like 40 pieces of sushi. You guessed it.. We didn’t eat it all. But it was great and the view that we had made it even more amazing.
Yes, I actually booked another photoshoot way more in advance than the Flytographer shoot with my mother and sister. A photoshoot just for me. Including makeup, 3 locations and 5 outfits, haha. I made some amazing photos, well not me obviously, but the photographer. But I’m so happy with the result I got. The photos turned out so pretty! But it had been a long day, because I was busy from 9:00 to 15:00.
Las Dalias is a big hippie market. And I mean, you can’t go to Ibiza and not visit a hippie market. They had so many things and so many beautiful things! Lots of jewelry and I saw so many pieces that I loved, but I thought the prices were pretty high for a market. So I decided not to buy them. They also have a bar and we had a cocktail there (of course). We had a reservation at Ca’s Mila for dinner that evening. While sitting there and drinking a cocktail my sister opened Instagram and saw a story that Ca’s Mila posted about not opening that day due to a private event. Like what? We never even received an email about that and we had a reservation? So we went searching last minute for a good restaurant and after 20 minutes we found one. And lucky we dit, because this restaurant was amazing!
So glad that we found this amazing restaurant last minute and that they still had availability on Saturday evening. When we arrived, we firstly were deeply impressed by the location. The views were yet again incredible. After being seated at our table by the amazing service, we had our first cocktail and it was delicious. The view was awesome. I started with the appetizer of tuna tartare with avocado and it was so good! Time for another delicious cocktail in between courses! The main course was a risotto with vegetables. This was seriously the best risotto I ever had in my life. It was soooo good!

So sad that today it was already time to leave! We still had time until noon to relax at the swimming pool, since we haven’t done that yet. It was the best ending of an amazing trip. I won’t forget this and will soon be back for a longer period of time!
Often times places get labels and it sticks, which makes people hesitant to go there. But often times those places have so many more amazing things. Ibiza is a great example of this. I recommend to book Ibiza at the end of September to extend your summer a little bit. Because the weather in Ibiza is amazing at that time. In the summer it gets way too hot, at least for me. Also, when you go around the end of September, you don’t have a lot of tourists anymore. So, when are you booking your Ibiza vacay?

What an impressive city! I already was excited to go because of the connection it has with the story of Sissi, but I wouldn’t imagine that it would be this incredible. Within a day I already knew that I would definitely go back to Vienna to stay longer. For now, let me take you through […]
